After a fortnight’s hiatus due to the international break, City will travel to London looking to bounce back to winning ways after a disappointing 5-0 loss last time out at Brighton.
Following the first four games of the campaign, City currently lie in fifth place in the table with seven points – just two behind leaders Leicester.
Tackling a Spurs side who also adopt a possession-based attacking style of play, Harsley is expecting an entertaining affair at Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium.
And ahead of a packed schedule of games over the next couple of month or so, the EDS boss believes last week’s break came at just the right time.

Said Harsley: “I think Tottenham play a style of football that is very similar to the way we try and play.
“We’ve had a look at them and have a good idea of what we will come up against, so we are all looking forward to the game.
“When you lose by a score line like we did at Brighton, the first emotion is that you want another game to come along quickly to put things right.
“But maybe the international break did come at the right time, so we could reflect back and take stock – not just on the last game but on the first five games.
“Reflecting on Brighton, there were a lot of positives from the first half, so we’ll try and build on those whilst working on the things that weren’t so good.
“Then it’s on to play Lyon in the UEFA Youth League, more games in Premier League 2 and Crewe away in the Checkatrade Trophy so we’ll get some Air Miles in this month!”
Ahead of the resumption of Premier League 2 action, Harsley said he felt that the first month of action had merely confirmed the excellence of standards across the board in the league.
And the City boss says the spread of results so far only served to emphasis that every team is capable of carrying a potent threat.

“You can see that all the teams have some excellent players,” the EDS boss added.
“Obviously there’s Arsenal who are the current champions who we met first time out and the Liverpool match was a real stretch for the lads playing out on the Etihad, purely from a physical point of view.
“But that’s what it is, and we’ve got to strive and work hard against those older players.
“There’s a lot of consistency and we know that every game is going to be a real battle and that’s the way it should be.”
