The Blues take on the Ukrainians this Tuesday (3pm kick-off) knowing victory could put City level on points with second-place Atalanta.
Doyle is hoping Friday’s comprehensive 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers can be the springboard the EDS side have needed this campaign.

“We have been disappointed with the way things have gone and, in all honesty, we’ve not been good enough, but this is the result we’ve been looking for to spark our season and hopefully we can take that into Tuesday’s UEFA Youth League game against Shakhtar,” said Doyle.
“We have two must-win games in that competition to come, starting on Tuesday and they are both games we can win.
“We beat Shakhtar out in the Ukraine and now we need to make the Academy Stadium like a fortress and make teams not enjoy playing us there.
“If we can repeat what we did against Blackburn and take that sort of controlled aggression and energy into our home games, I think the season will get better and better.
“When we put our opportunities away, you can see, we are a top side and hopefully that’s the marker we’ve set, and we can kick on from here.
“It’s not been easy, and we have kind of played like we did against Blackburn on a number of other occasions, but it’s about finishing your chances and being clinical and that’s what we were against Rovers.
“This is my age group and whatever opportunities I’ve had with the first team have been a bonus.
“My first thought is to win with the Under-23s and anything I can with the first team is a massive honour for me.
“You have to keep the same standards whichever team you represent and take that forwards and that is what I always try to do.”
