The 17-year-old midfielder swapped the Midlands for Manchester at the start of August, when he arrived from West Bromwich Albion.
Rogers spent 10 years in the Baggies’ youth set-up and made his first team debut against Brighton in last season’s FA Cup, aged just 16.

His move to Manchester, therefore, was significant for one so young, but he has taken it all in his stride and already feels at home in his new city.
“I’m settling in well,” he explained.
“I’ve played with a couple of the boys before with England and they’ve integrated me into the group well, but all the boys have been great, so it’s made it easier.
“I’m learning a new style of play and I’m enjoying every moment of it.
“I’m living in Manchester too, so that’s a good experience. I like it. Manchester’s a good city!”
A lively attacking outlet, Rogers is comfortable playing centrally or on either flank.
He considers his one v one ability his best attribute, but says he is already working with City’s coaching staff to improve the defensive side of his game as he adapts to what’s expected of him.
The early signs, however, have been good.
The England junior has made four appearances for the Elite Development Squad, scoring one goal and providing one assist and Paul Harsley has been impressed with what he’s seen on and off the pitch.
“He’s a nice kid,” added the EDS boss.
“He gets a lot of care from the Club and obviously as coaches we try and make him as welcome as possible, but we’re letting him find his own feet and he’s coming out of himself more around the lads.
“He’s already played quite a lot of football. He’s growing into his body still, but at times you see flashes of real quality.
“We’ll keep working with him and I’m sure the best is yet to come.”
