There was no double to be had over Bury this afternoon as the Blues ended their Senior Cup campaign with a 3-2 defeat at Radcliffe Borough FC.

The Blues started brightly but couldn’t find a finishing touch to their approach play and soon after they found themselves 2-0 down as Bury caught Ian Miller’s cold with a quick double.

It got worse five minutes after the break as City continued their sloppy defending to give away a penalty, which the home side converted for a 3-0 lead.

But the Blues battled back as Ian Daly made it 3-1 and James Poole gave the scoreline a more respectable look to it as Miller was left to rue the early lack of end product
