The reserves’ run of three straight wins came to an abrupt halt in north Wales this afternoon when they were beaten 2-1 by Wrexham.

All looked well for Glyn Hodges’ young side at half time when they led through Karl Moore’s 23rd minute penalty but the home team hit back a minute after the break when Wes Baynes beat Kasper Schmeichel in the Blues goal and they won the contest thanks to Mani’s close range header in the 57th minute.

The game saw Wrexham’s Adrian Cieslewicz and Sam Williamson pitted against their former teammates.
