The young Blues are still buzzing from the tremendous 3-1 victory last week over a strong West Brom side at The Hawthorns to continue an unbeaten start to the season in Northern Group A.
Only Arsenal have managed to take a point from Andy Welsh’s lads, and the coach said: “We thoroughly deserved the win at West Brom. What pleased me was the way we coped with the pressure they put us under then took our chances.”
Blackpool have begun slowly and trail in a Group B that includes Liverpool and Everton, but they will hope to take advantage of City’s international call-ups, which will mean a younger-than-usual Blues line-up.
The game kicks off at 7pm and, unlike the Arsenal match, will NOT be streamed live. So why not get down to Hyde and support the lads in person? Prices are £3 for adults, £1 under-16s including Seasoncard holders.
