Top of the table Liverpool U21s are the visitors for Friday afternoon’s Barclays U21 Premier League clash.

Liverpool are the only unbeaten side at the mid-way point in National Group 3, winning four and drawing two of their fixtures so far.

City EDS have only been beaten once themselves, so have every reason to be confident going into the encounter, especially as they were unlucky not to inflict a defeat on Liverpool when the sides met earlier this season.

It finished 2-2 at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground, with only a late equaliser from the hosts denying City all three points.

Attilio Lombardo’s men have been the Group’s draw specialists thus far this campaign, drawing four of their six games, the latest of which was against Wolves at the Etihad Stadium.

Denis Suarez won the penalty for City to grab their late leveller but was injured in the process and will miss be missing for the next couple of months.

Jules Ntcham is one possible alternative to Suarez, the French youngster has been winning rave reviews in training and has impressed in a handful of brief substitute cameos for the team.
