Manchester City EDS suffered a 3-2 defeat away to Chelsea after initially entering half-time 2-0 up at the Electrical Services Stadium.
The home side responded in the second-half with three goals to snatch the three points from Simon Davies’ side.
What happened
City started off incredibly strong, and by the 4th minute of the game Lorenzo Gonzalez’ header took the Light Blues into the lead.
Davies’ side continued to press throughout the first-half, and City were rewarded when Benjamin Garre doubled the scoreline to make it 2-0 with his extra-time strike in the 47th minute.
Despite the 2-0 lead, the home side were focused on their comeback and their first goal came in the in 73rd minute courtesy of substitution Martell Taylor-Crossdale.
Nine minutes later, and Taylor-Crossdale netted his second and the equaliser, and with just over five minutes to go the sides sat level at 2-2.
A late strike from Harvey St Clair won it for Chelsea.
St Clair managed to score in the 89th minute, and sealed a late 3-2 victory for the home side.
How they lined-up
Pawel Sokol took his place in goal, while Simon Davies opted for a back three of Edward Francis, Joel Latibeaudiere and captain Charlie Oliver.
Iker Pozo and Matt Smith took their defensive midfield roles, with Javairo Dilrosun and Felix Nmecha slotted in front.
Lorenzo Gonzalez was up front for City and was flanked by Benjamin Garre and Rabbi Matondo.
What it means
City’s defeat marks our sixth loss in the Premier League 2 season and means we remain on 13 points in the standings.
