Read what happened as Simon Davies' side travelled to the Recreation Ground to face Chelsea in the Premier League 2...

What happened...

A Brahim Diaz hat-trick and late Isaac Buckley-Ricketts strike saw City past their Chelsea counterparts in a 4-3 thriller at Aldershot Town’s Recreation Ground.

Diaz got City into an early lead with a quickfire brace, the first after being released by Rodney Kongolo and the second a tap in from an Aaron Nemane cross.

Chelsea were back on level terms by half-time after goals from Charly Musonda and Josimar Quintero but City came out fighting in the second half, with Diaz adding his third from the penalty spot before Buckley-Ricketts seemed to have sealed the win.

Chelsea substitute Mason Mount got a consolation for the hosts in stoppage time but Simon Davies’ side held on.
