What happened...
Manchester City were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham in a tough Premier League 2 encounter.
The first-half was tight. City controlled the ball - but when Spurs broke they did so with pace and purpose and it was the away side who created the better chances, with Shilow Tracey forcing one fine save from Angus Gunn before hitting the post with a close-range effort.
City had chances of their own - Isaac Buckley-Ricketts and Paolo Fernandes both produced decent efforts - but the Blues are likely to have been relieved to be level at the break.
But for the second time in a week, Simon Davies’ half-time team talk inspired an improved performance as City came out for the second period looking much more dangerous.
Jadon Sancho scored within a minute of the restart, before Paolo Fernandes blasted into the top corner past Tom Glover 10 minutes later. City were in control and looked to be heading back to the top of the table.
They were suddenly quicker to the ball and more inventive in the final third - but this Spurs side is full of character, and Nathan Oduwa pulled one back to set up a tense finale, before Tracey smuggled the ball home from two yards out to equalise with just five minutes remaining.

City remain second, a point behind leaders Everton who have a game in hand.

Sancho’s goal. City had struggled in the first half to turn their possession into clear chances – but Sancho’s strike early in the second half sparked a big improvement.

Angus Gunn. Made a series of fine stops to demonstrate his quality.
But a special mention for Sancho. A goal and an assists for the 16-year-old. What a future he has in the game.
