Pablo Zabaleta has been named in the PFA Team of the Year for 2012/13.

Zabaleta’s place in the XI will come as no surprise to City supporters who have witnessed his wholehearted, indomitable performances at right-back all season long.

Pablo won successive Etihad Player of the Month awards for December and January and is the only City player included on the list selected by peers from across the other 19 Premier League teams.

He has featured in 39 games for the Blues this season, scoring three goals, including the one that guided City past Stoke on this season’s road to Wembley.

The Argentina international defender displayed typical humility when he took to Twitter shortly after the announcement.

“Truly humbled to be included within the PFA Team Of The Year,” he tweeted from @Pablo_Zabaleta, “It’s an honour to play and be named alongside such great players. Thanks.”

Congratulations to Pablo from everybody at the club.
