Each player’s tally is made up of their total appearances in the competition for any club, so perhaps it’s no surprise to see those who have plied their trade in England over a number of years leading the way.
Of course, they’ll all be hoping to add to their total in this weekend’s semi-final, but here are the current standings…
34 - James Milner
Tied at the top of the pile are James Milner and Gareth Barry, each with 34 appearances to their name. James has two more goals in the competition than his compatriot though, with six.
The England international has represented Leeds, Newcastle and Aston Villa in the FA Cup as well as City, and scored his first competitive goal for the Blues against Leicester in the competition’s third round in 2011.
34 - Gareth Barry
With the same number of appearances as Milner, Gareth Barry has enjoyed an impressive career in the FA Cup for City and Aston Villa.
The midfielder has played in two finals – ending on the losing side for Aston Villa against Chelsea in 2000 but making a triumphant return with City in 2011 to lift the trophy.
33 - Joleon Lescott
Just one behind his teammates, Joleon Lescott has racked up 33 appearances for Wolves, Everton and City, including two final appearances at Wembley. Like Barry, Joleon was on the losing side to Chelsea for his previous club – the Toffees losing 2-1 in 2009.
The 30-year-old is another member of this list who triumphed over Stoke in 2011, but he has just one goal in the competition so far – scored against Liverpool in a 2009 Merseyside derby.
30 - Kolo Toure
Kolo won the competition twice with Arsenal before arriving in Manchester, although he was an unused sub for the 2003 final before starting in 2005 as the Gunners triumphed over Manchester United at the Millennium Stadium.
The defender has also grabbed three goals in the competition in his 30 appearances – not bad for a centre-back!
19 - Micah Richards, Joe Hart, Gael Clichy
Academy graduate Micah Richards has made all his 19 appearances in the competition for City, over a period spanning eight years. Joe Hart has played for Shrewsbury and Birmingham before joining Micah in the starting line-up for the 2011 final, while Clichy has represented Arsenal.
Those are the top five slots, but who is coming up fast behind them?
17 - Pablo Zabaleta, Carlos Tevez
14 – Scott Sinclair
12 – David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Aleks Kolarov
10 – Jack Rodwell
