Mike Quigley
Midfielder Mike Quigley took his first steps in professional football at City, making his debut in the Full Members Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in 1991.
It was the first of 13 games for the Blues in three seasons – the final of which came in a 2-0 loss to Blackburn at Ewood Park in 1993.
Quigley went on to represent Hull City in 1995, making 43 appearances over the course of five years.
He is now assistant to another former Blue, Garry Flitcroft, at Chorley FC.
Richard Jobson
Although he represented more than ten clubs during a 22-year, 600+ game playing career, Richard Jobson played more times for Hull City than any other team.
Jobson joined Manchester City in 1998 and appeared on 57 occasions over the course of three seasons, helping the Blues back to the promised land of Premier League football.
Since retiring in 2003, Richard has worked for the Professional Footballers’ Association, becoming a senior executive in the player management department in 2009.
Brian Marwood
Current City Academy Director Brian Marwood began his playing career at Hull City as an apprentice in 1976.
The winger made his Football League debut in a Third Division game against Mansfield Town in January 1980 – the first of more than 200 appearances for the Tigers.
Marwood would go on to have a hugely successful time as a top division player with Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday, winning an England cap in 1988.
He joined City in an administrative role on the football side in 2009.
Peter Swan
Versatile centre-back/centre-forward Peter Swan joined Hull City in 1989 and went on to score 24 goals in more than 80 appearances for the Humberside outfit over two years.
Now a successful pundit, Peter will be at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday reporting on the game for BBC Radio Humberside, a media role he has fulfilled since 2003.
His Manchester City connection is that his son George Swan is a member of Patrick Vieira’s Elite Development Squad.
Brian Horton
Hull City was Brian Horton’s last stop in a 16-year playing career and the midfielder turned out on more than 40 occasions for the Tigers.
Brian was named player-manager in 1984 and he led them to promotion to the second division in his first campaign. He left in 1986 and, after a spell in charge of Oxford United, he took the reins at City, replacing Peter Reid.
After just keeping City in the Premier League after a disappointing 1994/95 season, Horton was shown the door in the summer.
He is now assistant manager to Paul Dickov at Doncaster Rovers.
