Players, led by skipper Vincent Kompany, arrived at the hospital on Wednesday afternoon to put a smile on the young faces while seeing first hand how the hospital continues to provide specialist healthcare services for children and young people.
To make sure as many of the young fans got their chance to see the squad, the players split up into groups to make their way around the hospital, signing autographs and talking to patients and their families.
They delivered presents to every young person, after finishing their morning training session at Carrington.
Mike Green, Head of Manchester City Football Club’s community initiative, City in the Community said: ‘The Club has worked closely with the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for a number of years and our annual visit is definitely a highlight.
It’s a real honour for the Club and the players to be able to spend a couple hours with these inspiring young people who are going through a rough time.

The long standing relationship with the hospital has seen the Club donate £500,000 to the ‘New Children’s Hospital Appeal’ to fund the building of their outdoor play area in 2010.
During the 2011/12 season, the club also funded a set of animated DVD’s for every child who visits the hospital to brighten up their stay.
