Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that he will ring the changes ahead of tomorrow night's Capital One Cup clash with Leicester.

The Chilean claimed that squad rotation will be important over the busy period but he maintained that he will be looking to come away from the King Power Stadium with a win tomorrow night.

The Capital One Cup is very important. That’s why we have tried from the beginning to play with a good team. A final at Wembley is always important.

...Manuel Pellegrini...

“Of course, when we have a good squad, it is easy for a manager to make changes.

“Last week at Bayern Munich, we played five or six players that do not usually start and we made changes again against Arsenal. Tomorrow, will be the same.”

Pellegrini also explained that he had not made any final decisions on the team that will face the Foxes. He revealed that he had not chosen his goalkeeper but stated that Sergio Aguero, Micah Richards and Matija Nastasic will all miss the game through injury. Stevan Jovetic however has been declared fit for the trip to the East Midlands.

“I have no thoughts on the situation between Joe Hart and Costel Pantilimon,” he said. “Sergio has a calf injury but only the doctor can say exactly how many weeks until he will be fit.”
