‘The Beast’ has had a prolific start to the life at the Etihad Stadium – on the score-sheet 12 times from a mere 39 shots on goal in all competitions, Alvaro Negredo appears well suited to life in England. Forming a formidable partnership with Sergio Aguero, the duo have been unstoppable at times. A hat-trick in the home clash with CSKA Moscow and netting within five minutes of coming on against Plzen are just two highlights for the Spaniard to date.

Striking fear into the hearts of defences across the land, Sergio Aguero has already had 65 shots on goal so far this campaign, scoring with 17 of them. His blistering pace and eye for a pinpoint cross has contributed to five assists for the winger so far this season, while that eye for goal has already yielded three goals in City colours. The Spain international’s most eye-catching performance was undoubtedly in the 6-0 demolition of Spurs, when a goal after 14 seconds was followed by a second strike, an assist and an overall performance of sheer quality.
