Argentinian crowd favourite Pablo Zabaleta has been voted the Etihad Player of the Month for the second month running.

It was yet another a landslide victory for the consistently solid defender who scooped a massive 57% of the vote for January – and who could argue with that?

After receiving the accolade for December, Zabaleta was straight back to work at the turn of the year and was first on the score sheet during a stunning display against Stoke.

Other stand-out performances include away trips to The Emirates to take on Arsenal and the clash with Stoke at the Britannia Stadium where his goal booked the Blues their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

In second place this month was Spainish playmaker David Silva followed by Javi Garcia in third and James Milner and Joe Hart in fourth and fifth respectively.

City fan Jonathan Prichard will present the award to Zabaleta in person at Carrington, while our overseas winner, Andreas Antoni from Jakarta will receive a personal video message from the Argentine cult hero.

Can Zaba make it an unprecedented three in a row? Voting for February opens at the start of next month.
