Not a ground-breaking week for our loaned out stars with six of the 11 currently out with other clubs not seeing any action at all for one reason or another.

Jeremy Helan continues to do well with Sheffield Wednesday and he played for 87 minutes of the Owls’ 2-2 draw with Derby County.

Dave Jones’ side continue to steadily climb the table after their awful start to the campaign and it seems to be no coincidence that results started to pick up shortly after his arrival at Hillsborough.

Wayne Bridge continues to enjoy life beside the seaside still and played the full 90 minutes of Brighton’s vital 1-0 win over Hull City, keeping the Seagulls in the race for a play-off spot.

Neither Alex Nimely or Reece Wabara were used for Crystal Palace and Blackpool respectively and dropping down a couple of leagues to wrap up our English-based loaned stars, Adam Drury  was also unused as Burton Albion beat Rotherham 2-1.

Ryan McGivern did play for Hibs this weekend – but probably wishes he hadn’t as the Edinburgh side went down 3-1 at home to St Johnstone.

Moving abroad, while Luca Scapuzzi and Mohammed Abu failed to see any match time for Varese or Rayo Vallecano respectively, Roque Santa Cruz did come as a late sub for Malaga who beat Levante 2-1 and Omar Elabdellaoui (pictured, top) got the full 90 minutes under his belt as 2.Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Braunschweiger drew 1-1 with Aalen to remain top of the division.

Godsway Donyoh is yet to feature for Djurgarden in Sweden with the season still a fortnight away from starting.
