A home tie against Leeds United awaits City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Leeds represent dangerous opposition for the Premier League champions after they caused one of the shocks of the fourth round with their 2-1 win over Spurs at Elland Road on Sunday.

Of course, City booked their place in the fifth round with a Pablo Zabaleta inspired 1-0 win over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

It will mark the first meeting between City and Leeds in nine years, with their last encounter taking place in March 2004 which Leeds won 2-1 at Elland Road.

Earlier that season came their last meeting at the Etihad Stadium which finished with honours even after Antoine Sibierski cancelled out Mark Viduka’s first-half strike with a late leveler.

City don’t enjoy the best of recent records against this opposition but they did manage to get one over the Yorkshire side in January 2003, with this wonder goal from Niclas Jensen helping the Blues to a 2-1 win.
