Last week Carlos Tevez topped the list with the most shots so far and before that, Pablo Zabaleta was top of the tree for tackling.
This week, we’re going for those who are just as happy benefitting others with the Assist List – so who has laid on more goals than any other so far this season?
Top 5 assists (all competitions)
1. Carlos Tevez – 7 assists
It’s that man again and, making it an Argentina hat-trick of list-leaders, Carlos Tevez has set up more goals than anyone else for the Blues so far. It proves how valuable he is to Roberto Mancini that he creates as well as scores – not to mention the limitless energy and effort he puts into every performance.
2. David Silva – 5 assists
As you’d expect, David Silva features highly on the list with five direct assists for goals. What isn’t shown is the amount of times he plays an integral part in moves that lead to goals, often playing in killer passes that enable others to lay the final ball off.
3. Yaya Toure – 4 assists
Fourth in the shots list, third in the assists table – it’s no wonder is valued so highly by Roberto Mancini. His immense presence is a crucial part of the Blues’ make-up because he does the lot and four assists added to his 34 shots to date – plus six goals of his own – paints a picture of a true all-rounder.
4. Samir Nasri – 3 assists
Samir hasn’t played as many games as he would have liked this season with a mixture of injury, illness and suspension giving him a stop/start campaign so far, but he’s still weighed in with three assists and there will be no doubt more to come.
5. James Milner – 3 assists
Playing a variety of midfield roles, is equally effective out wide or in the middle. His range of crosses make him a constant threat to opposing teams and he, like Samir, has three assists so far, most of which have come in a very impressive last month.
