Yaya Toure hopes City can set a trend of winning silverware every season if they secure the FA Cup this weekend.

The midfielder believes consistency is key for the Blues as they look to build on previous success and add to the Club’s expanding trophy cabinet.

“It is very important to try and win trophies every year,” asserted Yaya. “That is why I signed my new contract with the club, to help make history and to try to help achieve this aim,” he asserted.

“We have already won some trophies and we have the chance at another. But we also want to try for the Champions League, more Premier Leagues and of course, more FA Cups too.”

Two years on and the Ivorian is hoping to be in the middle of the action once again.

A solitary Carlos Tevez goal separated the two sides when Wigan visited the Etihad Stadium last month and Yaya admits the Latics will be formidable opposition yet again.
