Harry Bunn has extended his youth loan deal at Sheffield United until 30 October.

The EDS striker turned out for the Blades’ u21 side in a 1-1 draw with Leeds on Monday night, and will be hoping to make some first team appearances before returning to the Etihad Stadium.

Elsewhere, Abdul Razak made his Europa League debut in Anzhi Makhachkala’s 2-0 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ivory Coast midfielder has returned from injury to complete 90 minutes in the competition and impressed sufficiently to be handed another starting berth in the Russian Premier League at the weekend.

Unfortunately, his side went down 5-1 to Rubin Kazan and Anzhi remain rooted to the bottom of the Russian Premier League.

In Norway, Abdi Ibrahim continues to be a vital cog in the Stromsgodset midfield, playing the full 90 minutes in a crucial 2-1 win at home to Valerenga which sent the Norwegian side to the top of the Eliteserien on goal difference.

Unfortunately a number of City’s other loan rangers had to watch from the sidelines this week due to injury or ineligibility.

Scott Sinclair missed West Brom’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal due to a hamstring knock sustained at Old Trafford last week, while Gareth Barry could not play for Everton against Manuel Pellegrini’s men under the terms of his loan agreement.

Before the game, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez spoke of the effect Gareth has had on the rest of his squad since moving to Merseyside on deadline day. 

Martinez told Sky Sports: “The way he is as a human being is an incredible influence for players like James McCarthy and Ross Barkley.

“He is someone players can look up to, someone who has been through many experiences and can give some sort of calm influence.

“On the pitch James has developed a good chemistry with Gareth.

“In the second half against West Ham he did that straight away and he grew even bigger against Newcastle.

“Players like James and Ross are going to get stronger and better and learn so quickly from someone like Gareth.

“He adds to the development of our youngsters, which is invaluable really.”

EDS defender George Swan is currently out with a hamstring injury, while Karim Rekik remains on the sidelines with an ankle problem.

Mohammed Abu was not involved for AGF Aarhus in their draw with Randers.
