Yaya Toure's Ivory Coast are just 90 minutes away from qualifying for Brazil 2014 after beating Senegal 3-1 on Saturday evening.

The Elephants still have to negotiate the second leg of the final preliminary round of African qualification, but this victory makes Yaya’s team strong favourites to complete the journey they embarked on two years ago.

The City midfielder played the full 90 minutes with the goals scored by Didier Drogba, Solomon Kalou and and own goal by Sane giving Ivory Coast a commanding lead, though Papiss Cisse pulled back a last-gasp goal six minutes into injury time to give the visitors a glimmer of hope.

The second leg in Senegal will take place on 16 November.
