Nick Cushing’s MCWFC will fly out on Wednesday 14 January for a week-long stay in the United Arab Emirates, before being joined by Manuel Pellegrini’s men on Monday 19 January.
Last season’s Barclays Premier League and Capital One Cup winners will stay for five days.
The men will take advantage of a rare free midweek in their calendar and the women begin preparations for their second FA WSL campaign, as well as the defence of their Continental Cup crown.
This will mark City’s second trip to the UAE’s capital city in the space of eight months.
City took on Al Ain in a showpiece exhibition match in May as part of the post-season tour, running out 3-0 winners at the breathtaking Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, thanks to goals by Marcos Lopes, Stevan Jovetic and Jordi Hiwula.
This time, the Barclays Premier League champions will take on Hamburg on Wednesday 21 January in a friendly match at the same venue.
Manuel Pellegrini said: “I am looking forward to taking the squad to Abu Dhabi for a warm weather training break in January, and playing the friendly game against SV Hamburg whilst we are there.
“We played in the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in May, and experienced a wonderful occasion as we celebrated our Premier League title win.
“It’s a fantastic stadium and we are delighted to be able to return.
“The game against SV Hamburg promises to be another exciting one, and we are once again looking forward to playing in front of our fans in the UAE.”
City last travelled to Abu Dhabi for warm weather training back in November 2009.
MCWFC will not play a game as this trip marks the start of their pre-season programme.
The teams will train on each day of their stays before MCWFC return on Wednesday 21 January and the men fly back a day later.
Ticket details for the match against Hamburg will be released in due course.
