Choosing one outstanding player to win this month’s Etihad Player of the Month award is not going to be easy, but we’ve nominated a shortlist of three sharp-shooters to help you decide – and with 23 goals between them, it’s not hard to understand why.
Alvaro Negredo
The Beast has been scoring for fun during January with nine in all competitions moving him on to 23 for the season.
The Spaniard collected his second hat-trick of the season in the 5-0 win over Blackburn and only a shoulder injury prevented him adding more to his tally.
Edin Dzeko
With seven goals to his name and 17 for the season, Edin Dzeko took his chance of an extended run in the first-team with both hands, enjoying a hugely profitable January.
Crucial Premier League goals against Swansea, Newcastle, Spurs and Cardiff – the latter being City’s 100th of the season – make Edin another strong candidate.
Sergio Aguero
A later surge from Sergio who returned from injury in blistering form with seven goals in five matches.
Those goals came in just 15 days and perhaps is all the more impressive when you break it down to just 238 minutes of action – or a goal every 34 minutes.
Super stuff from Kun who will be sorely missed in the coming weeks.
So those are the three choices – cast your vote now and you will have the chance to present the winner with the award in person (UK based entrants only) while one overseas winner will receive a personal message from the player who polls most votes.
Voting will close at noon on Friday 14 February.
