It’s now 39 days since City became the Barclays Premier League champions for the second time in three years.

On the final day of the season when Manuel Pellegrini’s men clinched the title with a 2-0 win over West Ham, City were once again on the tip of the global tongue.

As you can see on this map, mentions of City on Twitter spread right across the globe throughout the game, from the west coast of the United States to the eastern tips of New Zealand on the glorious day Vincent Kompany lifted that famous trophy aloft once more.

There’s still 58 days to go until new storylines are crafted in the champions’ title defence opener against Newcastle United, so we’re not yet halfway through the summer break between Premier League seasons.

However, with the fixtures being released on Wednesday, provoking the first few flutters of excitement for the new campaign, we’ve put together all of the most important dates for your diary coming up in 2014/15.
