The City midfielder played the first 63 minutes at right-back before pushing into the middle for the closing stages during an entertaining game in Miami.

Argentina cruised to a routine 3-0 win over Trinidad & Tobabgo with Martin Demichelis starting the game in Buenos Aires. He was replaced by City team-mate Pablo Zabaleta at half-time but there was no involvement fro Sergio Aguero.

Yaya Toure was an unused sub in Ivory Coast’s 2-1 win over El Salvador in Texas.
