But with more than 150 goals to choose from, who made the short-list for the 2013/14 award?
So far in our list of ten, we’ve had...
Goal A: Yaya Toure’s clinical curler against Viktoria Plzen
Goal B: Sergio Aguero’s exquisite volley in September’s Manchester Derby
Goal C: Alvaro Negredo’s outstanding turn-and-finish in a 6-0 demolition of Tottenham
Goal D: Aleksandar Kolarov’s rocket against Leicester City in the Capital One Cup back in December
Goal F: Sergio Aguero’s sublime finish in a 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham back in January
Goal G: Yaya Toure’s unbelievable strike against Sunderland in the Capital One Cup final at Wembley
Goal H: Samir Nasri’s sweet outside-of-the-foot volley in the same match to put City ahead in the final, and
Goal I: Yaya Toure’s thunderbolt in the 5-0 win over against Fulham.
Completing our list, it’s Yaya Toure once again. This time, it’s the superb solo run in which he stunned the footballing world in the penultimate game of the season - the crucial 4-0 win over Aston Villa.
With just seconds left and the Blues already 3-0 up, many expected Toure to run down the clock when he picked up possession midway through his own half - but the Ivorian had other ideas.
Using raw strength, speed and sheer determination, the midfielder powered his way past five Villa players as he sprinted goalwards.
Having reached the opposition box and with a defender on his tail, the 31-year-old still had work to do but he applied the perfect finish, supremely curling beyond Brad Guzan and into the back of the net.

We will then have a recap of the full 10 in one video before voting opens for one week. The winner will be revealed at City Live 2014.
Voting begins 30 June on mcfc.co.uk.
City Live - details and ticket information
The inaugural Club awards and music party was held last August and was the perfect start to what would prove to be a title-winning campaign and City Live 2014 is set to be even bigger and better.
Packed with special guests from the world of sport, music and entertainment, City hope to build on the success of last year’s event, that saw a live audience of 5,000 Blues fans treated to a night of comedy from funny man and lifelong supporter Jason Manford, plus music from chart sensation, Miles Kane.
The blue carpet will be well and truly rolled out on 14 August, when City Live once again takes centre stage at the iconic Manchester Central, in the heart of the city.
Gongs up for grabs include Etihad Player of the Year in association with MCFC Supporters Club (1894), Under-21 Player of the Year, and Goal of the Season.
It will also be the first chance for fans to get up close and personal with their heroes, too, when new Club signings will be presented to the City faithful.
Inspired by shows such as the MTV Music Awards, City Live 2014 will showcase what’s in store for the 2014/15 season, both on and off the pitch, whilst connecting local and global fans like never before.
City has once again enlisted the support of lifelong Blue and funny man, Jason Manford, who will host and compere the evening with his no holds barred approach.
