Martin Demichelis has been voted the Etihad Player of the Month for April.
The City defender fought off the sizeable challenge of David Silva - who finished second - and fellow Argentine Pablo Zabaleta to win his first award as a City player.
Demichelis polled more than 50% of the total vote having finished third in last month’s poll – ironically won by Silva.
The former Atletico Madrid centre-half enjoyed an impressive April with a series of rock solid performances that helped City resume their title challenge.
Thanks to everyone who voted and the winning entrants are Danielle Mclellan, who will present the award to Martin and Ahmed Ghazal, who will receive a personal video message.
