Sergio Aguero
With six goals during October, Kun Aguero is the stand-out candidate for this month’s award. He started the month with a goal against Aston Villa and then starred against Spurs, scoring all four goals in the 4-1 victory over the north Londoners.
Sergio then banged another in the 2-2 draw with CSKA and hit the bar against West Ham as he continues his blistering form.
David Silva
Instrumental in everything good City do, David Silva has been again at his sparkling best this season. Though a largely disappointing month for the Blues, Silva capped off the month with a superb goal against West Ham before picking up an injury against Newcastle United.
Joe made several fine saves in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa and was at his very best as he kept Spurs at bay with a number of important saves early in the game, none more so that the penalty he saved with the score at 2-1.
There was little he could do to stop the CSKA or West Ham goals, though he very nearly stopped the goal that proved to be the winner with an astonishing effort to keep out Diafra Sakho’s late header.
