However, City will still be without the services of Fernando who is still sidelined having missed the last five games though injury.
“Jovetic is back training with the squad and is available for the match with Roma,” confirmed the City boss. “Fernando will miss the game and along with Samir Nasri, they are the only two players that are injured.”
Pellegrini admitted he is glad his two-match touchline ban is now complete having sat in the stands for the games with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
“I think it us important to be on the touchline and I’m looking forward to being close to the players again,” he said. “It is better for everyone and I’m happy the manager and players can all be together again.”
The City boss dismissed suggestions there is extra pressure on his team following the defeat at the Allianz Arena earlier this month, saying: “The pressure is normal and I think we were under more pressure after losing the opening game at home to Bayern last season.
“We were unfortunate not to take a point in Munich, but even if we had, there would have been no difference going into the Roma clash.
“If we play the way we have in the last few games I will be very happy because we are playing well and scoring goals again and though Roma are a very good side, we can win this game.”
