The Swedish striker moves to Parkhead on a season-long deal and will replace former City striker Georgios Samaras who joined West Brom in August.
Guidetti has found first-team opportunities limited at the Etihad and has spent several spells out on loan with Burnley, Stoke and most notably Feyenoord where he scored 20 goals in just 23 games.
The 22-year-old will now hope to reignite his career in Glasgow and force his way back into the Sweden squad.
