Emyr Huws has joined Wigan Athletic on a permanent deal.

The Wales international, who played several games for City during pre-season, had initially joined Uwe Rosler’s side on a loan deal, but this has now become a permanent transfer with the fee undisclosed.

After making his senior debut against Blackburn Rovers in January, Huws joined Birmingham City on loan, making 17 appearances for Blues as well as scoring the club’s Goal of the Season away to Middlesbrough.

After joining City from Swansea as a 16-year-old in 2009, he represented the Under-18 and EDS side as well as enjoying a loan spell with Northampton Town.

Everybody at the Club wishes Emyr every success in the future.
