City will travel to Vietnam for the second leg of the Club's pre-season tour.

Following Involvement in the International Champions Cup presented by Audi, City will travel to the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi.

Arriving on Saturday 25 July 2015, the Blues will spend three days in the country and will face the Vietnamese national team in a friendly tie to be played at My Dinh National Stadium on Monday 27 July.

Speaking about the Club’s historic first visit to Vietnam, City chief executive Ferran Soriano expressed his delight, saying: “We are very excited about the prospect of visiting Vietnam as part of our pre-season preparations.

“We look forward to competing against the Vietnamese national team in a fixture that will provide a valuable challenge to our squad ahead of the new campaign.

“This will be the Club’s first ever visit to Vietnam and we are delighted to be playing in front of so many passionate football supporters and so many Manchester City fans.

“We are very privileged to be able to come and play in front of the country’s outstanding football supporters and we look forward to seeing you there.”

This fixture is a result of the joint efforts of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) and Manchester City.

SHB Chairman Do Quang Hien is looking forward to the visit: “We confirm our invitation to one of England’s leading football clubs to Vietnam to play a friendly match primarily for football fans and for sports lovers in general.

“Football fans of the country will see with their own eyes the stars of the Premier League play at the My Dinh Stadium against the Vietnam National Team.

“I hope players of Manchester City and the Vietnamese National Team will offer Vietnamese football fans an emotional match.”

VFF President Le Hung Dung added: “The invitation of one of the top clubs in the Premier League to Vietnam means a chance for Vietnamese players to play against world-class players and fans to witness the brightest stars of the English Premier League to perform at the My Dinh Stadium.

“Not only that, however, but it is also a chance to contribute to promoting to the outside world a beautiful, peaceful, hospitable, dynamic and deeply culture-imbued Vietnam country.”
