Sergio Aguero has hit the headlines again, having been named in the Copa America's official 'best team of the group stage'.

Alongside compatriot Lionel Messi and Lucas Barrios, Jamaica.

Aguero has scored twice so far in the tournament and earned a Man of the Match award for his performance against Paraguay.

His two goals have proven crucial in helping La Albiceleste to reach the last eight, though the 27-year-old did suffer an injury netting the winner against the Uruguayans with a diving header.

As a result, he missed the final group game but it is understood the knock is not serious.

Argentina boss Tata Martino explained: “It is not worth taking chances with a player like him, especially as he is fighting for that position with two great players.”

Aguero is expected to return for the quarter-finals, where he will hope to continue his fine form.

Our first goal of qualifying in the first position was achieved. Getting ready for quarterfinals. C'mon, Argentina!
