Fernandinho has been named in Brazil’s squad for the Copa America in Chile this summer.

The midfielder, who turned 30 on May 4, will be part of manager Dunga’s line up as Brazil look to regain the title Uruguay won four years ago.

Fernandinho has made 28 appearances for City this season, scoring three goals.

Those efforts have been recognised by his national team, where he will do battle with City’s Argentinian contingent in the tournament that runs from June 11 to July 4. Fernandinho was an impressive performer for Brazil in their run to the semi-finals of the 2014 World Cup.

Brazil are in Group C with Colombia, Peru and Venezuala.
