Midfield duo David Silva and Yaya Toure trained for City ahead of the Champions League trip to Borussia Monchengladbach, but a number of players were missing from Tuesday morning's open session at City Football Academy.
Spanish star Silva has not featured since City’s opening Group D game against Juventus with a calf problem, but has a chance of facing the Bundesliga side at Borussia-Park.
Toure was also in action following his early withdrawal against Spurs.
There were a lengthy list of absentees though, with skipper Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala, Gael Clichy, Fabian Delph, and Wilfried Bony absent from the session.
