City will face Crystal Palace in the Capital One Cup fourth round at 7.45pm on Wednesday 28 October.
Palace booked their place in the last 16 with a 4-1 win over Charlton Athletic on Wednesday evening and have already lost 1-0 at home to the Blues this season with Kelechi Iheanacho’s last-gasp winner securing three points for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
The teams last met in this competition during the 2008/09 campaign, with City winning 2-0 at Selhurst Park and the only other meeting between the sides in this competition ended with a 4-0 win for Palace in January 1995.
