David Silva and Raheem Sterling took part in open training for City today ahead of the Champions League clash with Juventus, although striker Sergio Aguero and midfielders Fernandinho and Samir Nasri were absent from the session.

Aguero limped out of Saturday’s win over Crystal Palace after a kick on the knee from Scott Dann and did not emerge from the open session at City Football Academy on Monday morning. Pellegrini later confirmed the forward would not be fit to face Juve.

Neither Raheem Sterling (hamstring) nor Silva (ankle) were in the squad to face the Eagles, but are in contention after going through their paces with the rest of the squad.

Midfielders Fernandinho and Samir Nasri were also missing from the session, but the manager is hopeful they will be fully fit on Tuesday.
