The skipper has been back to his commanding best with two goals to his credit plus powerful defending that has seen City keep four clean sheets during August. Kompany said he intended to lead by example and it is his determination and fight that has helped the Blues make a breathless start.
Fernandinho
Fernandinho is yet another City player who has made a superb start to the new campaign. Disciplined aggression with more than a touch of silk, he has scored two thumping goals in both the Blues’ opening home games and provided excellent protection to the back four from his anchor role in front of the defence.
