However, it turned out to be a quiet deadline day for the Club with no business conducted in the last 24 hours of the window.
The final addition to the 2015/16 squad was also one of the most high profile deals of the Premier League window, with Kevin De Bruyne joining from Wolfsburg on Sunday afternoon.
Young Turkish striker Enes Unal was the first piece of incoming business conducted by City on 6 July, just in time for the starlet to join the team on the pre-season training camp in Australia before he joined Genk on loan later in the month.
Raheem Sterling was the first high profile capture in the middle of July and he was swiftly followed to the Etihad Stadium by Aston Villa midfielder, Fabian Delph.
Young Patrick Roberts was next, signing from Fulham before Argentine defender Nicolas Otamendi swapped Valencia for Manchester on August 20.
As for outgoings, there were several players out of contract at the start of July and so they left for pastures new.
James Milner and Micah Richards were among the players to leave for Liverpool and Aston Villa respectively, while Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic left for Roma and Inter on loan with view to permanent moves.
Marcos Lopes joined Monaco, Jason Denayer made a loan move to Galatasaray and Jose Angel Pozo signed for Almeria yesterday to complete City’s summer business.
The UEFA Champions League A list will be submitted to the competition’s governing body before midnight tonight and the final Premier League squad will be sent in on 3 September.
