Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Vincent Kompany, Samir Nasri and Pablo Zabaleta are all back in contention to play at White Hart Lane after their injury lay-offs.
Six first-teamers remain sidelined through injury, including David Silva.
Pellegrini told journalists at his pre-match press conference: “At this moment, Mangala, Clichy, Delph, Silva, Bony and Kelechi are the six players injured.
“Kompany is back, Hart is back, Nasri is back.
“I’m not 100% sure [when Mangala and Silva will be back], it depends on how they improve – maybe David can be fit for next Championship game, we’ll see next week. For Mangala, it will be difficult for him to be fit before the international break.
“It’s important for the team to have Vincent back. He’s just recovering, he’s the captain and he played well at the start of the season. Not just defending but he scored three goals also.
“We’ve had a lot of different injuries so it’s not just one reason but that’s why it’s important to have a squad.”
The early season form of Sergio Aguero came under scrutiny in the press conference with Manuel fielding questions on the striker’s fitness ahead of the game against Spurs.
The boss confirmed that Kun will be 100% fit for tomorrow’s game but conceded that perhaps the Argentine ace wasn’t quite in peak condition for the defeat to West Ham last Saturday.
“I think that against Sunderland Kun was practically 100% fit,” Pellegrini reflected.
“He was an important player – he was involved in the goals, he scored and he had other chances. Maybe after his injury, especially against West Ham he wasn’t 100% but now I believe he is.
“It was important to continue in the Capital One Cup – we played a good game.
“Maybe at the beginning no-one says the Capital One Cup is important but if you get to the end and play at Wembley, it’s beautiful and I think it was an important cup for us to win to help us win the title.
“We were very unlucky against West Ham considering the amount of chances we made.”
Finally, Pellegrini warned that City are taking on top-class opposition in the first of this weekend’s Barclays Premier League games.
The Chilean paid tribute to his Spurs counterpart Mauricio Pochettino.
“Every game is different, we are just believing that if we don’t play well we won’t win,” Pellegrini declared.
“I don’t analyse Spurs’ start – they have good players, a very young team – so I think that Pochettino is doing very good work there and we’ll see how they do at the end of the season.”
