As Sergio Aguero struck home his seventh hat-trick for City in the 3-0 victory at Stamford Bridge, he edged closer still to a number of Club records.

Aguero has now scored 99 Premier League goals for the Blues from just 128 starts – a phenomenal record that stands up against any of the current world greats.

With 133 in all competitions he has now moved clear in eighth place in the Club’s all-time goal-scorer lists, with seventh-placed Tommy Browell firmly in his sights on 139.

He will become the first City player to score 100 league goals since Francis Lee who achieved the feat back in 1971/72.

With 14 Premier League goals in 2016, he is also the leading scorer in the top flight this year.

But what about his record haul of Club trebles?

His first came against Wigan Athletic way back in September 2011 when he bagged all the goals in a 3-0 Premier League home win.

Surprisingly, it was more than two years before Kun again struck three times in one game as the Blues fought from behind to beat Watford 4-2 in a FA Cup fourth round tie at the Etihad.

2014 would prove a vintage year for the Argentinian as he bagged a further two match-balls in October and November.

The first of those came as he scored all four goals against Tottenham in a 4-1 Premier League win at the Etihad Stadium and a month later he scored perhaps his most impressive treble yet as he bagged all of the Blues’ goals in a dramatic Champions League win over Bayern Munich.

He made it three in one season when he scored three in the 6-0 Premier League mauling of QPR – once again at home.

In October 2015 he scored a record five goals in the 6-1 win over Newcastle United in the league – his sixth Etihad Stadium hat-trick for City.

Saturday’s treble was his fifth in the Premier League (six behind all-time record holder Alan Shearer), his seventh in total for the Blues but his first away from home.

Though he has bagged seven trebles, he needs one more Premier League hat-trick to match Billy Meredith, Fred Tilson and Tommy Browell who all scored six for City in the League.

Compatriot Carlos Tevez managed four trebles in total finding the net three times against West Brom, Wigan, Blackburn and Norwich.
