We’re delighted to announce that Sinan Bytyqi has signed a contract extension which will keep him with City until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The 21-year old had one year remaining on his current deal before agreeing terms on this new contract.
Bytyqi returned to action in the second half of the 2015/16 season after suffering a season-ending injury when on loan at SC Cambuur in February 2015 where he had made his first eight professional appearances.
Although Sinan is yet to make a senior competitive appearance for City, Bytyqi did take part in the first-team’s pre-season trip to Germany and Munich and gave a good account of himself against Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena.
Previously, the Prizren-born forward made the bench for City’s Capital One Cup third round tie against Sheffield Wednesday in 2014 and appeared against Al Ain in a mid-season friendly shortly after.
Sinan has represented Austria at youth level but is also eligible to represent the Kosovan national team like his teammate, Bersant Celina, who today joined FC Twente on loan until the end of the season.
From everyone at the club, congratulations Sinan and good luck to Bersant!
