Here’s a sight all City supporters have been waiting for…

The Belgian playmaker has had his knee brace taken off at City Football Academy and is back working in the gym as his comeback from injury steps up a gear.

Kevin, who has contributed 12 goals and 12 assists in his first season at the Etihad Stadium is now in a crucial period in his recovery as he plots a return to action before the end of the campaign.

His last appearance was of course a decisive one: a match-winning cameo in the win over Everton which put City through to Sunday’s final.

The 24-year old sustained a medial knee ligament injury in a challenge with Ramiro Funes Mori on 27 January 2016 after he stepped off the bench to score the equaliser and set up the winner for Sergio Aguero in a 4-3 aggregate win.

Belgium supporters will also be hoping for a swift recovery from a player who would be one of the Red Devils’ main men as they launch an assault on Euro 2016 in France this summer.
