City EDS welcome Everton to the Academy Stadium tomorrow night, 7pm kick off (GMT), and Davies will be looking to keep up his 100% win record as manager.
The game will mark the third game between City and Everton over the different age groups (First, EDS and U18s) over the past week.
A win against Everton could see City move up to fourth, depending on other results, and put them 11 points behind leaders Sunderland with three games in hand.
The 41-year old picked up the three points last time out against Southampton and will be looking for a similar result when the Toffees visit tomorrow.
Goals from Bersant Celina, David Faupala and Patrick Roberts secured a 3-1 win over the Saints to move City up to fifth in the Barclays U21 Premier League Division One.
Prior to his debut at Norwich in the FA Cup, Celina spoke to mcfc.co.uk about the game and believes that they are at peak condition after almost a month without a game.
“We’ve got a really good squad, we’ve got some injuries but I think it will be a really good game. It will be a good test for us. It’s the first game of 2016 and we’re physically ready for it, hopefully the work we’ve been doing in training will show on the pitch.
“We’ve been working really hard since the last game, we had a small break at Christmas. We’re physically fit and there is no excuses for the game now.”
The 19-year old was also full of praise for Simon Davies, who he states is a good coach with similarities to former EDS manager Patrick Vieira.
“Simon has been really good so far. Everyone respects him and he’s a good coach. I’m really happy that he’s taken over and I look forward to working with him.
“He’s got a similar style to Patrick (Vieira), but he’s also got his own things that he likes to work on in training. He’s quite similar, as both him and Patrick want to play attacking football.”
Kick-off is at 7pm (GMT) at the Academy Stadium, with all the Twitter and a match report shortly on mcfc.co.uk after full-time.
