Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Wilfried Bony are the nominees for the December Etihad Player of the Month award.

The trio impressed last month and now it’s up to you to vote one of them as the winner.

Here’s the story behind each nomination...

Wilfried Bony

With four goals and two assists during December, Bony enjoyed his best month yet for the Blues.

The powerful Ivorian began the month with a goal against Hull City and then made a game-changing appearance from the bench against Borussia Monchengladbach, scoring one and making two for Sterling as the Blues staged a dramatic comeback to win 4-2 and claim top spot in Group D.

He scored a thumping header in the 2-1 win over Swansea and was on target again with another header as City thrashed Sunderland 4-1 on Boxing Day. All in all, an impressive month.

Raheem Sterling

Three goals and some energetic performances during December earns Sterling a place in the nominations.

His two-goal salvo and stunning display against Monchengladbach earned him the star man honours and he was again on target in the 4-1 win over the Black Cats.

Add to the above a man-of-the-match performance away to Leicester City and you have another strong contender.

Kevin De Bruyne

Looking for his third Etihad prize in four attempts, De Bruyne produced a number of stellar displays in December.

Two goals against Hull City ended the Tigers’ resistance an a stunning performance against Sunderland where he scored one and made two more make the Belgian in with a chance of yet another triumph.

Voting is now open and closes as noon, Monday 11 January.

One lucky UK entrant will get to present the winner in person.
