City have been handed a welcome boost ahead of Saturday's trip to West Ham United.
Fernandinho, who has missed the Blues’ past three games against Norwich, Everton and Crystal Palace after previously playing in all of the Blues’ Premier League matches this season, returned to full training on Tuesday morning after recovering from a knock.
Fernando and Fabian Delph have both played in City’s holding midfield positions during the Brazilian’s absence and it will be interesting to see whether the manager pitches Fernandinho straight back into the fray against the high-flying Hammers.
One of the Blues’ players of the season, Ferna has made 28 appearances this campaign and scored three goals to date.
