Six City youngsters featured for their loan clubs over the past week. Here’s a quick round up of the action...

Ian Lawlor completed a loan move to Bury last week, and he made his debut in Saturday’s  Emirates FA Cup tie against Bradford City.

The 21-year played 90 minutes at Gigg Lane as the Shakers drew 0-0 with the Bantams in the Third Round match to send the game to a replay a week on Tuesday.

Elsewhere in the FA Cup, Shay Facey played 45 minutes for Rotherham as they exited the prestigious competition in a 2-0 defeat away at Leeds. George Evans played the whole game for Walsall in their 1-0 win against former manager Dean Smith and his Brentford side at Griffin Park.

Heading south to France,  Seko Fofana played the whole game for Bastia when they travelled to French giants Paris St-Germain in Ligue 1. The 20-year-old picked up a yellow card in a 2-0 defeat at the Parc Des Princes to leave Bastia just two points above the relegation zone.

Lille were in action over the weekend, but Yaw Yeboah did not feature in the matchday squad for their 1-1 draw with Nice.

Since our last round-up, Olivier Ntcham’s Genoa have played two games with the youngster playing once. The 19-year-old appeared in the first half of their 302 home defeat to Sampdoria last Tuesday,  and was an unused substitute over the weekend for I Rossoblu’s 2-0 win at Atalanta. 

Galatasaray played their first match of 2016 on Friday night, and it marked the return of Jason Denayer after a hamstring injury. The 20-year-old Belgian started the game against Karsiyaka and played the full 90 minutes in the 3-1 win in the Ziraat Turkish Cup.

The Belgian and Dutch leagues are yet to resume after their winter break, so Enes Unal (Genk), Jack Bryne (Cambuur), Thomas Agyepong (Twente) and Divine Naah (NAC Breda) will have to wait until later this week to play their first game of 2016.
