The Argentine striker is the team’s top-scorer with 13 strikes in all competitions but now he’s feeling his way back to full fitness, the 27-year old has promised a deluge of goals in the coming weeks.
If there were any lingering doubts on his form, Kun addressed them head on last Saturday with a stunning two-goal display against Crystal Palace.
Now he’s ready to unleash his prodigious talents on West Ham United in Saturday’s late game.
“As time goes on I’m getting to feel better and better physically and I’m getting my full fitness back which is great.
“Obviously as I get back to full fitness, the goals will start to flow. It’s all about carrying on in the same way, playing in the same way and to try and keep on winning.
“We know that West Ham are particularly hard to beat at home and we know that they’ll make it hard for us to go there.
“We’ve proved recently that we can get back to winning ways on the road again so if we could pick up three points on Saturday it would be a good time to go top and then be a little bit calmer and relaxed as the season progresses towards the final key period.
“I think it’s always an extra motivation for teams like West Ham when they’re playing against a team like City. It’s an extra way of motivating themselves going into the game if they believe they can beat us.
“It’s very important that we keep on a good run and avoid dropping any points between now and the end of the season if we possibly can.”
City lie just one point behind joint-leaders Arsenal and Leicester going into match day 23 of this ever-unpredictable Premier League season.
With both the Foxes and Gunners facing tricky-looking encounters with Stoke and Chelsea respectively, the Blues may have an opportunity to end the weekend back on top of the table.
However, Kun believes that the best thing City can do is to concentrate on their own performances and to keep winning games.
“It is a really, really tough league to play in,” Aguero reflected.
“It makes it hard to stay at the very top of the league. What we have to do is not worry about the other teams but instead concentrate on our own form and try to win as many games as we can with particular emphasis on trying to pick up points away from home as well.
“I think in our heads we have to be aware that we’re a strong side that is capable of beating anybody and that’s how we have to approach all our games.
“We know that Saturday will be another hard game and we have to be strong. We have to display the sort of form away from home that we consistently display at home where we know that we are very, very strong. If we can recreate that form on the road it would be great.”
